14-20 june ◆ mediators, arbiters

This week is a sort of culmination point. We have been working with increasing in some places and decreasing in others, and now there is a shift to balance and ultimately reversal in the other direction. Take this week to see where we have increased and grown in our lives. Most of us are pushed to be growth-oriented, but we cannot grow forever. Winter exists as a time to shrink and conserve so that we can begin anew in the next cycle. This is not necessarily a time of loss, but of reaching an upper limit and realizing that we have done what we can. What is done growing but still needs time to mature? What projects are no longer benefiting from our attention, and where can we refocus it?
We are also reworking the structure of the status quo this week. Things are not as they were, and it may not be helpful to try and fit those pieces back together. If we can cobble together something new, it could be better suited to what we are doing now, even if that looks nothing like what it was before. If we slowly, over time, replace all of the component parts of something, is that thing still itself? How do we imbue objects with meaning? How do we imbue our habits, our lives, with purpose? These questions are not small or easy, but we have many months to consider them. We are in the process of rebuilding, and creating a facsimile of what was before does not serve us now.
The beginning of the week is likely the most impactful time. Those of us who are more resistant to change may have a more challenging experience with the shifting ground that starts this week. Consider the middle of February and the thread that has been carried through since then--it will be in the spotlight again. This part of the week seems as though it will be uncomfortable, so try to mitigate those experiences with extra space and time devoted to rest.
The middle of the week gives us time to decompress and strategize. Reflect on what is unrecognizable and mull over what used to work but no longer has the same effects that it once did. These might be tools or habits that need to be replaced or redeveloped because they are not well suited to the new circumstances that we inhabit. It might be worth revisiting tools or practices that did not seem to work for us before, as they could be useful to us now.
We finish the week with a new resolve from the decisions we have made. Some of us may choose not to choose, but those decisions are still made, and their consequences still come to pass for us. Some of those will be positive. It could be that we are dealing with an embarrassment of riches and must decide which opportunity to pass on for the time being. If we are unwilling to part with something, try investigating the nature of our attachment to it. Why does freeing ourselves from it seem complicated? If we find that we are primarily just uncomfortable with uncertainty, that can make it easier to release.
