21-27 june ◆ solstice

As we pass the longest (or shortest) day of the year, we begin a slow cycle of intensification and rebalancing. We are slowly recalibrating. After a chaotic or tumultuous time, we have been set on a new path or given new choices about continuing on the path we set out on already. It may feel challenging this week to head out into the unknown for some of us. Being deliberate is a valuable way to enter into something we might be unsure of or reserved about, so allow this week to be slower than we might expect or more unhurried than we are accustomed to.
There is a sweetness to this week, like ripe fruit or unexpected kindness. Float for as long as possible, as we are called to task by the end of the week. We are asked to pilot the ship and give guidance on how to caress or cajole it into following our desires. This might feel like moving mountains if we are unfamiliar with what we are doing, but it takes a lot of finesse to get the heavy lifting right. What are the small adjustments we can make that will ripple out into our lives and keep us on the path? Searching the past for what has happened before and how we responded can be helpful, as long as we remember that this is the present and almost nothing like last time.
We start on a dreamy note this week. Expect a walk down memory lane or some old stories to warm our hearts. This can be a little pleasure trip to take if we are in need. The only downside is that we may be expecting the best but be disappointed when reality comes back into the picture later in the week. If something sounds a little too perfect, it just might be more fantasy than fact. If we can walk into the past and know that it is not the future, it can be a delightful experience. Not pushing our to-do lists or minute-by-minute schedules could be the most practical approach to this time. We will soon be starting up the usual cycles or finally moving again as the weeks move forward, so try not to rush it.
By midweek we have a motive to clear the air and let some of the lofty plans and hopeful intentions fall by the wayside. They are not flying out the window altogether, unless we want them to, just moving to the periphery. Take some time to think about personal sovereignty and leading by example. Where can we act from generosity? Can we give the best version of ourselves freely and without the expectation that others will reciprocate? Some of us will have difficulty with our partners or relationships with others about personal needs not being met. It is essential to communicate now, but take care not to neglect that others have needs. Some of us are prone to doom-scrolling or falling down endless wells of jealousy after comparing ourselves to others, which is likely to come up this week. Try to be moderate at this if you are more susceptible to visiting the extreme ends of the emotional spectrum. We are more easily fixated on what we don’t have and could become obsessive if we indulge.
The end of the week will be more emotional for most of us. This isn’t always a negative experience but it might feel like the tide is going out and trying to pull us with it. Take note of what feels valuable and meaningful at this time. Soon we will be in a better position to be recognized for and by those values, or they will be highlighted in those we associate with, giving us a taste by proximity. Those who are ready to be seen are stepping into their light.
