5-11 july ◆ tender growth
We are moving into another emotional week, but there are opportunities to give ourselves a break and help us stay with the trouble of our times. What is seen and unseen, what is clear and unclear, are themes of the week. Where are the private or guarded places that are just for us? A place out of range of others where we can release our judgments and be free of assumptions. Those kinds of areas are fertile ground to play, test, try, and observe at this time. They also give us a place to process and be with the complex events that have come about.
What unmet needs are we fighting for this week? Can we make adjustments, or do we feel like we have to break it to make it anew? There is likely a solution that keeps some of the working parts and reconfigures them. If we are committed to something, or someone, it may take an imaginative approach to reconcile everything. These may be things that we do not want to do or face, but doing or not doing is still choosing a path, so it benefits us to engage with it actively. If we can give in, just a bit, without giving up or letting ourselves be taken over, it could be helpful to give some needed clarity to what we really want or need and what we perform from obligation or expectation.
The week starts with some creative infusions. We are given some inspiration to experiment within the confines of what feels safe and stable. Creating some space, either physical or mental, that allows for cultivating individuality and expression can be very fruitful now. We will be awash with details or overwhelmed with possibilities, so being forceful or coming with expectations may leave us feeling worse than before. Some of us will be less adept at flowing through this part of the week and could become overwhelmed or confused by the multiple messages we are receiving.
Once we reach the middle of the week, some of the trickiest parts of last week are re-activated, and we have to try a different approach to move the story along. This could take the form of understanding how to partner with these challenges to integrate them into our lives, or our partnerships could come into the mix and add to the demands of the time. We will feel the inflexibility of the situation, so bringing our adaptability can help. What we want for ourselves is not what everyone wants for themselves--this is likely the core issue for the week.
We finish the week with a new beginning that asks us to give ourselves what we give away to others. How are we nurturing ourselves? What can we do for ourselves that we outsource or expect others to accomplish for us? This is not to suggest that we need to only care about our desires or that depending on others is a negative aspect of ourselves, but to investigate what self-pleasure or self-accomplishment we could re-invest to bolster our self-image now.
